The Al Oerter Foundation believes that life begins with a blank canvas. From triumphs to tribulations, every choice we make, every accomplishment we achieve colors our lives.

We encourage individuals to live life in full color. Through programs of art, sport, education and the Olympic values, we strive to enrich the lives of future generations.

By providing a positive environment and engaging programs, we enable youth in communities to discover self-confidence and develop their voice. Our programs – including art, education, poetry and mentoring – provide an opportunity for individuals to paint their life canvas with vibrant colors of positive choices.

We believe in celebrating students by integrating their art and accomplishments into our current exhibits. Our primary focus is to spread the Olympian ideals of excellence through the education of young people.
